Event Details

Effective coaching is one of the most important drivers of employee performance and, therefore, one of the most important skills for supervisors to cultivate. This workshop teaches a core set of interaction principles and skills that, when practiced consistently, enables supervisors to coach employees in a manner that addresses their personal needs (to be respected, understood and involved) while holding them accountable for meeting performance and behavioral expectations. Participants learn a model for providing positive and corrective feedback, and guidelines for conducting proactive and reactive coaching discussions. A variety of teaching methods are utilized, including video simulation, class discussion, workbook activities, and skill practice scenarios.
