Kelli Campbell ’99

Kelli Campbell attended Texas A&M University from 1995-2000 and was a 4-year letterman on the track and field team. She also actively volunteered in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Aggie Athletes Involved.  As a junior, Kelli entered the Professional Program in Accounting (PPA), obtained a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting, and Master of Science in Management Information Systems.  After graduating in 2000, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) then transitioned to Fortune 500 company, Temple-Inland, Inc. based out of Austin, Texas.  While at Temple-Inland, she was an internal auditor and eventually became the  Enterprise Change Management (ECM) Lead within the IT division.  

In 2005, Kelli became a certified BCIS teacher, and the head volleyball, assistant basketball, and head tennis coach at Johnson City High School.  In 2007, Kelli and her husband returned to Texas A&M where she accepted a position in the Division of IT where she focused on leading teams in security assessments. She also spearheaded initiatives in designing, creating, and deploying systems to help automate and improve internal processes.

In 2009 Kelli joined K2Share, a company specializing in providing IT security and assessment work for governmental entities.  While at K2Share, she became a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) to support her role as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) within the Department of Homeland Security – FEMA division.  As an ISSO, Kelli led and performed security assessments for several systems, including the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and the Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (IPAWS).  In 2012, Kelli started her own company and continued to provide security services under federal contracts as a small, woman-owned business.

In 2013, Kelli and her husband accepted the opportunity to teach health and kinesiology classes and coach the Texas A&M Women’s basketball team at the TAMU campus in Doha, Qatar. They enjoyed 2 years in Doha before returning to the main campus in College Station, Texas to continue teaching kinesiology classes.  Kelli joined the Thornton-McFerrin Coaching Academy as the Program Manager on February 14, 2022 and immediately focused on aligning coaching programs with the mission of the Coaching Academy to determine feasibility and program priorities.   By August 22, 2022, processes were finalized, a web portal was deployed and enrollment began for the Undergraduate Coaching Certificate Program. Kelli is also an advisor for the TAMU Tennis Club Team and the Student Coaches Association.

Kelli and her husband, John reside with their young son in College Station and enjoy coaching his youth sports teams.
