Parker Clay

Parker Clay is a graduate student at Texas A&M University and is currently in her first year of the Sports Physiology masters program. In Spring 2022, Parker completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree with minors in Coaching and Sport Management. Prior to graduation, she was a captain on the track and field team where she competed in the throwing events. She is trained in all five throwing disciplines which include the shot-put, discus, javelin, hammer, and weight throw. While pursuing her graduate degree at Texas A&M, Parker has coached athletes aged five to eighty-five in multiple capacities. She is currently a strength and conditioning coach at D1 Training and is an assistant coach at Rock Steady Boxing in College Station, working alongside people fighting Parkinson’s Disease. Parker has also helped coach the shot put and discus for the Bryan Thunderbolts Track Club, TAMU Track and Field Camps, and at Allen Academy. During the Summer of 2021, Parker volunteered as an intern for the strength and conditioning program at College Station High School. She also completed a strength and conditioning internship with the Corps of Cadets Ranger Challenge program in the spring of 2022.

Parker has been named to the SouthEastern Conference Spring Sport Honor Roll four times and is also a seven-time award winner of the Texas A&M Athletic Directors Honor Roll. Parker has also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management under Dr. Deanna Kennedy.

Before arriving at Texas A&M University, Parker attended St. Paul High School in Shiner, Texas where she garnered 11 TAPPS 2A State Titles (4 track and field, 1 basketball, 1 softball, 3 shot-put, and 2 discus). She was also named to eleven all state teams for volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. Parker is the TAPPS state record holder across all divisions in the shot-put.
